I’m Still here…

Sorry that it’s been a while since I’ve been here. No excuses except been watching shark movies a lot. Been doing a lot more for myself lately. Pushing myself to. Today I washed my own leg and put the medicated cream on it myself. I feel good about that. I am also under the weather a bit. Sinuses I believe. But they make one feel miserable. Used the microwave for the first time in almost two years(almost forgot how). I looked at the different buttons and finally figured it out. I think I shouldn’t have much of a problem preparing my own meals while my honey is out now. Yea! I guess the main reason I’ve been gone for so long is that I just didn’t feel like doing much on days that are so hot. What do you expect? I’m in Texas. It’s hot as ever here.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: More Than 5 Items

I was visiting some of the blogs I follow and came across Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. I haven’t taken part in any of the challenges before, but today’s seemed interesting, so I thought I’d try. “More than Five Items”.

And this is only part of the collection of the bookmarks we have.

My week so far…

I’ve changed things up a bit in my routine recently. Been leaving the recliner feet(the recliner I sleep in) down during the day and night to be able to get up on my own when necessary. This gives my honey more time for sleeping and keeps me active. I’ve even lately been washing my own bowls after eating to help out. Last month I was surprised at the amount of weight loss I had, though it’s going to be hard this month because of my birthday. What would you do on your birthday? You would probably want to pig out too. I am unable to “pig out”, but I have been eating some Ben & Jerry’s. I’ll try to post more good news on weight loss each month(I only weigh in once a month).

The leg exercises I’ve been doing have left me sore, but it’s worth it. I just need to keep them up. I believe that losing at least another 30 pounds will enable me to get around better(and maybe even climb the stairs again).

Photo 101: Triumph & Contrast

Yes folks. It’s a bottle of Tide. As many of you know, I have a real bad arthritis. The strength in my arms and hands is limited. Today, however, I was able to pick this heavy bottle up from a low shelf and place it on a higher shelf. That is a triumph for me.

Photo 101: My camera

Do you remember that I told you that I had no manual to teach me about how to use many of the functions on my camera? Well, during the night an inspiration came to me. Go look on the one place you can find anything…the WWW. I typed in the model number and finally found it. First I found it for sale for $4.99, but can’t even afford to purchase it. Hunted the list more and finally found it free at another site! Praise the Lord! I can learn it now without having my husband around to help with it.
